Welcome to the Computer Science Club for the University of Central Arkansas. We hold meetings every Thursday during X-Period (1:30pm - 2:40pm) in room 339 of the MCST building.
No upcoming events
We are a student ran RSO dedicated to computers and technology in general. We love programming, computer games, technology, hacking (for security, of course!), and just having fun in general!
We are always looking for new and exciting events for the club. If you would like to get involved in anything, or if you know someone that may be interested in doing a presentation for the club, feel free to contact us (see the Contact section). You're also welcome to show up to the club meeting and let us know in person. There is no obligation, no fee, just a bunch of geeks getting together to have a great time!
Benefits of Attending
You will be able to meet many cool and interesting people! This will allow you to meet new people that share common interests with you, allowing you to make more friends while having a great time. This will also help your future, by helping you network with people that will become professionals in your same field! Come to the CS Club and plan for the future!
You'll be able to learn interesting things, we host talks from professors about their research interests, and from professionals in the field. We also try to find people to do talk about what members find interesting, this year we will be focusing on security/hacking, video games (programming, developing, animating, and of course playing!), and mobile app development. This can help you learn about topics you're interested in, and not just the endless lectures on if x is pointing to a memory address or if x is the memory address...or maybe *x is the memory address... (As an added bonus, there will not be a test over any of the presentations in the CS Club!)
Boldly go where no man has gone before! Ok, maybe people have gone there before, but we will host field trips to various computer-related places like Acxiom and HP.
It's a place to relax and have fun! We will be hosting LAN parties during the semester, and we will host a Big Game, more can be read about that in the Events section.
Get bonus points for your classes! By attending 50% or more of the CS Club meetings, you will receive bonus points applicable to any course in the computer science department!
